Teacher Training

Help Your Clients Achieve Greater Breakthroughs.

I often work with voice teachers and performance coaches to help them bring the principles of The Art of Singing to life in their own studios and practices. Most choose to book a package of 5 or 10 sessions, during which we explore your own instrument / expression and teaching strengths, empower you with new knowledge and tools, and teach you to lead through listening. Your clients hold the key to unlocking their best voices and selves; I will show you how to share your wisdom and passion with others in a way that brings out both of your best.

Thanks to your many requests, I am currently in the process of creating a comprehensive teacher training program. Please sign up for my newsletter and you’ll receive a note as soon as the first program is ready for enrollment.

* I also work with therapists and counselors to support them in their work with creative clients. Please email me to learn more.*

“Thank you for writing The Art of Singing. My heart is leaping with joy that there are other people out there thinking like this. It has given me a sense of belonging and direction for my teaching, and has been a huge help to my students.”
Liz Johnson Voice Faculty, Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University
“Within the first coaching with Ms. Hamady, I developed a more comfortable approach to singing that sounded much closer to my natural voice that I unconsciously use every day in conversation. After a performance less than a week later heard by strangers and friends alike, I received consistent observations attesting to my increased resonance and overall expression.”
Mike Block Faculty, New England Conservatory
“The Art of Singing Onstage and in the Studio will be an enormous help to performers and those who record them. Jennifer has a deep psychological understanding of performance anxiety and those issues that make recording the singer difficult. Best of all, she suggests ways of holding on to one’s truth as a singer and suggests ways that the technologists and performers can work together fruitfully, producing a product that can be successful. Her book is a treasure."
Myra Tate Voice Faculty, University of Maryland
“The Art of Singing transformed me as a singer and teacher and enriched my life. So I was surprised to find myself reading Learning to Sing with a bit of a critical eye. But I wasn't disappointed. Every page has rich thoughts; every question my mind brought up was refreshingly addressed. Even the title is clever: ‘Learning to Sing’ becomes displaced by an emphasis on wanting to sing. While The Art of Singing was directed toward any and all, Learning to Sing addresses more specifically anyone who is mindful of the process of imparting creative ideas. Wonderful, refreshing, full of joy!"
Jonathan Doyel Voice Faculty, Clemson University
“Jennifer Hamady is a one in a million find. We are talking about a brilliant and truly special person.”
Dr. James Fallon Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurobiology University of California, Irvine
"Words cannot express how much your book has done for me as a singer and as an aspiring music educator. Thank you!"
Mimi Parroco New York University
“As a musician and music educator, I am always looking for new curriculum to use in my studio. I have not only had many years of vocal training, but have been coaching students for over 20 years. I have always felt the popular (and most common) vocal training was simply a way of controlling the voice, rather than engaging the voice to its own potential. I have never taught or used these constrictive methods. However, there has always been one basic method of vocal teaching, rather than the myriad of piano pedagogy. Considering I teach both voice and piano private lessons, I am often frustrated at the lack of vocal curricula available. Ms. Hamady has written a book that not only uses exercises and knowledge that I have learned over the years, but raises it to another level. I highly recommend this for ALL vocal students, coaches, and vocal educators.”
Michelle Martin Private Voice Studio, Dearborn, Michigan
"The feedback and impact from your session with us yesterday is palpably positive- I have been hearing from so many students about how powerful and meaningful it was for them, and I felt the same. You are really a special treasure, and I am so grateful for you and for the abundance of gifts you share with us. THANK YOU!!!"
